The clusters

Each cluster runs from the first decision to the last item on the list.

A cluster is a reading order. The conference cluster starts with the audience and the space, moves through the product decisions, and ends with the paperwork that lets a large event reclaim what it is owed. Read as a sequence, it removes the usual pattern of a merchandise decision made in a hurry three weeks before the doors open.

The multi event cluster covers the same problem across a calendar rather than across a single date, which is where most programmes actually fail. The onboarding cluster covers new hire merchandise that scales, keeps its purpose and can ship to more than one country. The sustainability cluster collects the questions a reporting team asks about materials, packaging and end of life.

The year end gifting cluster is the busiest season of the calendar and the one where budgets are set late. It starts with the gift policy and the audience, and works back from the date the gifts have to arrive. The clusters are written for a buyer who has to make the decision rather than read about it.
